Why not wonder around some of the historical sites, visit the many museums or National Trust attractions, explore the numerous quaint seaside towns and villages or just relax on the beautiful beaches that Cornwall is renowned for. Keeping the kids entertain won’t be a problem either, with so many attractions just a 10-15 minute drive away, you will certainly be spoilt for choice.

ATTRACTIONS FOR ALL THE FAMILY
With you have younger children or teenagers Cornwall is a paradise for a family holiday with sheer number of options available to you the only problem is deciding where to go! Within Newquay and the surrounding area you will find attractions like Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium, Holywell Bay, Camal Creek Adventure Park , Diaryland Farm World plus lots more all with a 10-15 minute drive away from Trekenning.
ICONIC LANDMARKS
Visiting The Eden Project isn't just an amazing spectacle to behold, it is also fun and educational. Built in an old clay pit it consists of 2 biomes, one tropical and one Mediterranean. Exploring this will make you think you have been teleported to another country. St. Micheal's Mount should not be missed and is steeped in history. Take a walk around the village and the gardens and then trek to the house and church to snap a picture of the breathtaking views.
BEACHES
Whether you just want to relax and enjoy a lazy day in the hot Cornish sunshine, cool of in the refreshing sea, have a surfing lesson or take the dog for a stroll, there's a beach for you. Why not visit Fistral and watch some of the pro surfers, or head on over to Watergate Bay and see if you can catch Jamie Oliver at Fifteenth. How about going to one of Cornwall's quieter family destinations, Mawgan Porth. You could visit a more secluded beach and climb down the stairs at Lusty Glaze and have a bite to eat.
HISTORICAL SITES
The National Trust has around 50 places to have a day out in Cornwall. Family houses, historic buildings, mining heritage, miles of coast, a nature reserve and formal gardens. Be sure not to miss Lanhydrock House and it's beautifully landscaped gardens. Glendurgan is one of the best-known subtropical gardens in Cornwall, featuring bamboo, tree ferns and other exotics. Bedruthan Steps is one of Cornwall's more dramatic beaches, named after a series of massive rock stacks supposedly placed there by a giant, called Bedruthan, for use as stepping stones.
